LaborBerlin

LaborBerlin ist ein kollektiv organisiertes Filmlabor in Berlin, das allen offen steht, die sich für experimentelle und selbständige Arbeit mit fotochemischem Film interessieren. Unser Labor stellt alle notwendigen technischen Geräte und Produktionsmittel zur Verfügung, um mit analogen Film arbeiten zu können – so beispielsweise ist die Nutzung von Dunkelkammer, Tricktisch, Kontaktprintern und Scanner möglich. Es finden regelmäßig Workshops und Filmvorführungen statt und das Mitgliederforum des Vereins fungiert als Plattform für den Austausch von Ideen und Erfahrungen rund um das analoge Filmemachen. Wir sind Teil eines internationalen Netzwerks von unabhängigen Filmlaboren und arbeiten häufig mit Filmemacher*innen und Organisationen aus der ganzen Welt zusammen.

LaborBerlin is a collectively organised film laboratory in Berlin, open to everyone interested in working with photochemical film with an experimental and DIY approach. Our lab provides all necessary technical devices and production tools to make films on a celluloid base—including a darkroom, an animation stand, contact-printers, and more. Our members conduct regular workshops, film screenings and exhibitions, and act as a platform for exchange of ideas and experiences around the practice and spirit of analogue filmmaking. We are part of an international network of artist-run film labs and frequently collaborate with various filmmakers and organisations from around the world.
