Verbund Offener Werkstätten e.V. made a self-commitment to the Transparent Civil Society Initiative at the beginning of December 2014. As a non-profit association, we want to keep our actions and projects consistently transparent and publicly accessible. The Verbund Offener Werkstätten e.V. is, according to the last notice of exemption received by us from the Berlin tax office dated 25.06.2026, exempt from corporation tax pursuant to Section 5 (1) No. 9 of the Corporation Tax Act and from trade tax pursuant to Section 3 No. 6 of the Trade Tax Act, because it exclusively and directly serves tax-privileged charitable purposes within the meaning of Sections 51 ff A0.

The Foundation anstiftung carries out research into commons, do-it-yourself and sustainable regionalisation. A key element of this is creating a new perspective on what Western societies understand by "prosperity". Since quality of life is not just about having a large number of different products, the Foundation networks and promotes subsistence practices in everyday life and draws attention to their importance for a sustainable society in a sustainable global context.
Deutsch-Französischer Bürgerfonds
The Franco-German Citizens' Fund advises, connects and finances projects that make Franco-German friendship and Europe tangible for a broad segment of the population. It supports a wide range of formats and topics, is easily accessible and open to all members of civil society.
Global Innovation Gathering (GIG)
GIG is a vibrant, diverse community of innovation hubs, makerspaces, hackerspaces and other grassroots innovation communities alongside individual innovators, makers, technologists and changemakers.
RFFLabs
Foundet in 2015, RFFLabs is a French umbrella organisation that brings together FabLabs, makerspaces and maker communities. Unter the motto "make, learn, share and change the world", RFFLabs pursues teh central goal of building a network for decentralized manufacturing in the spirit of maker culture.
Transparency Germany
Transparency International Deutschland e.V. (Transparency Germany) is the national chapter of Transparency International. Transparency International is a global network leading the fight against corruption including more than 100 established national chapters.
VULCA
Vulca is a non-profit organisation with the mission to bring citizens ideas to EU policy makers using a bottom-up approach

The Verbund Offener Werkstätten e.V. has received financial support form the anstiftung for many years. The funding is partly project-based and partly intended for independet, self-directed work. In 2025, teh funding amounted to more than 10% of the annual turnover:
